A heavy Derby shoe that bears the brogue detailing synonymous with true country shoes. The Bourton is a piece of Northampton shoemaking history, and today they are the go-to shoe for men all around the world.

A full bellows tongue is folded and attached to the shoe to provide a watertight seal, with the storm welt providing an additional watertight seal between the shoe's upper and sole. The profile of a Bourton is characteristically strong; with a solid sole unit, leather linings and a Dainite sole for practicality.

THE FIT

This last has been used for decades. It is part of Tricker's history and character as England's oldest shoe manufacturer.


The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4444) is larger than a regular UK size by half a size. If you normally take a UK size 8 (equivalent to US size 9, Japan size 27 and EU size 42), we recommend you order a size 7½ and so on.
